There were lots of things we wanted to do for Samhain/Halloween this year; the Zombie Walk in Long Beach, the Day of the Dead Celebration in the Hollywood Cemetery; but we just couldn't find the time to get to them. I had a meeting with a NAVY recruiter at 4pm the other day, and we didn't expect I would get back in time to actually take our kid trick-or-treating. So at 9pm we randomly decided to just throw some things on and go anyway.

I had shaved for the recruiter meeting so I'd look younger, and after after a quick leg shave (the itching begins!) I put one of my mate's extra altar cloths over my top hat and we got our kid's Halloween outfit on him and went out. We went as poor people with no real costumes :) Coincidentally, this is the first time he has seen me with no facial hair and is probably wondering why he has a second mommy now.
