Old meme is old :( But this is really realy great! It doesn't just look like a wolf with badger markings, like a lot o fursuit builders would do.

I stared at a badger picture for like an hour

I know their heads are more of a straight line from the forehead to the nose, but the nose is big and round so that's good. :D

im pretty sure they do that to show off its hotness. to model a fursuit head you must show it off as much as you can in the pictures :) this head looks great, the anatomy of the badger is very well made! syber did an amazing job on this!

huh lol that is strange. the bandanna is where the head on the mannequin is...

My soft boxes and flash heads are at 6ft from the floor. If we were to push the head all the way on the mannequin, the under side of the jaw would be shadowed and the backdrop on the floor would absorb the light.

The two options, Place on a stool that would cause a cast shadow from both my camera flash and the soft box / flash onto the back drop or to simply lift it off the mannequin 6". The option we chose was logical.

why not lift the whole mannequin up 6"? prop it up with books or something?

I only say that because my first impression upon seeing it like that is "huh, they couldn't fit the head back on after they made it? how could anyone fit a head that small?" and other might think that too

Well while you have your reasoning someone looking at with out knowing that would get the impression that the head doesn't fit. If putting it on top of the mannequin for lighting is all you can do then at least crop out the bottom of the mannequin so all you see is the neck and it doesn't give the impression of being too small.

You did very well with the snout, making it slender enough to emulate a badger without making it look canine. I only have one criticism (and it's only meant to be constructive!) and that's with the eyes. Maybe if they were somehow made a bit smaller? I don't know what limitations you have, and maybe you only had the one size. But overall it's well done!

That's more what I meant, the taper it does, as opposed to how a canine snout is...like how they can be broader at the end.

I have to say, not the best head to come out of this company. But, I do have to say, I love how smooth the fur looks, and how well the tearducts blend in! I couldn't even notice them at first.

Pretty darn cool! I like it. It looks darn good the eyes and brow line kinda freaks me out a bit, but it looks really good! Not many badger suits out there that are close to an actual badger skull anatomy and such. :3 It's always good to branch out too instead of seeing the same canine or feline heads :/
