Zonk is a term that I frequently use to refer to falling asleep in a sudden and complete fashion.
For instance, when Jake and I were cuddled up, we didn't MEAN to fall asleep...we were just relaxing, listening to the rain, and talking quietly about this and that and the other thing. But somewhere between the quiet sound of the rain falling and the blind warmth of being together in the dark, between one word and the next, we just slipped into unconsciousness.
