cartooning is a medium that thrives on communication of emotion. these are good because your characters are doing something. and not just doing something but doing them in an exciting, passionate and interesting way. there is an unfortunate tendency for cartoonists online to just draw characters standing around. but if it doenst tell a story why bother drawing it. these little vignettes are charming and each one has its own story to tell.

and if you are still worried about how they look i will offer you the words of one of my newest heroes. kyle baker:

"cartoons aren't supposed to be 'good.'"

This comment really moves me. Hm. I guess it wouldn't hurt to finish this.I will have to put it on my list of things to do!

back when i was taking japanese class i was trying to do little vignettes to illustrate vocab words. but that was a lot of work T___T
