For a while, I've been wanting to do an artpiece in monochrome/grayscale. I decided to work with another Skippy piece for practice. Then I realized how similar this particular pose was to that of Gene Kelly in his iconic scene in that musical Singing in the Rain.
Personally, I'm not a fan of musicals really. But the idea was interesting, so I went along with it. It turned out better than I thought it would. I kept Skippy's bandana because he looked odd without it. As for the rain, I went with the classic slash lines. Why not?
Now that I think about it, I'm sure Skippy would have as much energy as Kelly did. Maybe it fits better than I thought.

That could work. And we know he can do cartwheels from the intro, so yeah, I imagine he could do that sequence quite well. Some Kangaroo Jack animated film had a fantasy sequence with two kangaroos dancing that was oddly mesmerizing. It'd be quite fun to imagine Skippy dancing like Gene Kelly.
