So he protects the people in the village from getting killed...and yet, when he's hungry, they become his meal and get killed anyway...
Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but...what the hell? O_o Who the heck would want to stay in a village that you're eventually get killed by some large beast anyway? I don't get it...unless the villagers don't die or something. I dunno. o.o;

Oh. ...Well, still, sounds incredibly risky to stay in a village where you can get eaten by the person protecting you, but then again, I guess you have a smaller chance of getting eaten in the village than out, or something.
