This picture has a bit of a story.. not really about the content, just the image.
I've been MAD perfectionist recently, OCD style and it was kind of destroying me, art-wise. I really dig autumn and getting to wear hoodies and stuff, and everything just seems so different in autumn, so I wanted to do a picture. I finished half of it about a month or two ago and just got stupid and kept getting way too perfectionist with it and frustrating myself. It wasn't until I sat down tonight, in between uni work and thought "fuck this, I'm gonna just draw like I used to - to ENJOY it." And that's what I did.
So here's that picture, finally finished.. now I just have to try and finish the BILLION other half finished pieces in my folder lol.
FYI - I'm still on my 'break', this is just some art I wanted to get out and finish, but it's a good start to me trying to get back into it, but with my final year of uni, I can't afford to do much!

I think this looks really good. It is true, sometimes, artists can be hard on themselves and start criticizing every aspect of their picture which in the end, makes you feel insecure about your work. So it's important to try to remember to not take things so seriously with art and just draw for fun.
This piece right here is really beautiful. It really does give off a peaceful autumn vibe and I like autumn to so I can totally relate. Really nice picture. ^_^

I also prefer Autumn over the other seasons and can relate to what you describe as how everything seems different. For some reason during Autumn, I feel a bit more optimistic and happy about the world and how I go about things. I think it is the wonderful weather and calm setting that it brings to us.
