...The name IS "PONYgirl," after all. <XD
To illustrate just how little side time I tend to have, this is one of my only "for-fun" art projects I've actually been able to complete recently. <XD And the McDonalds toys were released back in what, January? I still feel like they were the strongest release of the whole toy line, sculpturally speaking. The actual FIM toys' proportions are way off. If I had more initiative I think I would have fixed the legs on Derpy here but I wanted this to be a simple repaint job (which...yeah, didn't get it finished much faster, sigh).
Customized McD Rainbow Dash with new Apoxie mane and tail, painted with acrylics and pastel shading for the eye gradient. :)

Ha! Actually the sculpting was pretty decent on 'em. :) My beef with their paintjobs is that they always make the eyes too small (but the normal toys have this too), and Celestia is PINK (see previous comment) and also kind of tiny, scale-wise, as she's the same size as the rest (to fit in the meal boxes, I assume).
Of course, though, the McD ponies had brushable tails...I've never been a fan of that, however. Either make both mane AND tail brushable, or just make them both molded plastic! Sheesh.

Oh wow the McDonald's ponies look GREAT with the solid tail. The bigger eyes were a fantastic addition as well. It looks like the paintover smoothed out the muzzle too. One thing I liked about the McDonald's iteration in particular is that they look the most like what they would appear on the show proportionately... but to me the muzzles were more beak than not which was my only complaint.
