In-progress cut of part of the collab with artdecade for the upcoming RRUFFURR zine, which features all those artists you like, and should hit shelves some time this winter!
For now, I gotta get crankin' on these... Details and probably a couple more teasers to follow <3

I'm doing my part with a cravat fold on my scarf to my... 'Paletå', the English name for it escapes me. I can name by definition that it is shorter than an overcoat but longer than a jacket. I really fell in love with them and is always part my winterwear. Are you doing your part? :33
That's high praise indeed!
Generally, with digital painting, pre-fabricated texture (texture beyond just the paint you're putting on the canvas) is going to come from two places: the brush you're painting with, or a texture overlay. This piece is almost entirely the former -- you can see a very faint bit of texture on the background which is a texture overlay over the whole thing. Everything else was brush texture.
There are tons of fun textured brushes out there, or it's a great idea to get into a habit of making your own. Under the brush palette, you can tick the "Texture" box and adjust settings there to apply a texture to any brush.
Hopefully that helps some! If you have specific questions, let me know ^_^

For sure! Simplifying and distilling things down to their essence is at the heart of making art, I think, and I think in addition to having skill (or knowledge, I suppose), it requires a kind of confidence that I really don't yet have. Which is why I'm trying to work on it with stuff like this! ^_^
