A lot of people aren't sure what exactly they're getting when they get a postcard commission so I thought I'd upload an example of what the finished product looks like when you get it in the mail.
There's a person that I buy matting kits from who sells me frames, backing boards, and protective bags. The postcard is 4x6 inches in size and I frame it in a 5x7 mat. I use a low tac tape that is made to be removed easily if you want to take the image out and frame it differently. (I recommend care and caution doing this as all adhesives, no mater how mild, can be persnickety and might not want to let go) I have all sorts of colors and although this one is in a white frame, my standard is actually a black mat. I also have red, blue, green, brown, gold, silver, and purple. I have more of some than others and if you want a color I don't have it'll be a week or so for me to get it. The backing board is as thick as the mat and provides another layer of protection. After that I put it in a transparent bag (you can see it if you look in the outline of the image).
I don't charge extra for any of this. If you order a postcard you get the frame for free.
As for the image itself, the anatomy is a little wonky, but this is Three lounging in a window (probably at Barius' estate) and looking out wistfully. The card has already been purchased. I color them in copic marker and gelpen and sometimes add glitter and gemstones for extra detail.
Turnaround time on a postcard (depending on my backlog) is 1-3 weeks and unless you have other commitments I try to draw them live via webcam for you to critique as I work on it.
