Oh, I just realized there's a composer, Eric Satie, who wrote pieces just like this . . . He'd try to invent a short clip of composition that fit an intended mood perfectly, and then say he wanted it repeated like, 240 times. (Such that they take many hours to perform and generally have to tag-team piano players) And he'd refer to them as 'furniture music', since they were supposed to be noticed initially but then fade into the background, their function being a way of decorating a space. (The pieces not being too different from the background music that plays in the background as you browse through the web portfolio of an interior designer or real estate agent.)
