Hello there! It's me again and another sequel to work with preggy eeveelutions. This time it'll be vaporeon and my cell shading attempt! I chose cell shades cause that kind of technique can show wetness well and besides I always dreamed to master it. Of course it's first serious attempt, so it won't be perfect in all ways, but still...
Oh! It's time to back to my preggy vaporeon! She just leave water cause she have a feeling that very very soon her pups sees the daylight. She knows that all pokemons pop when they gave birth (it's kind of my AU with life-bearing pokes, that's why mammal-looking pokes is life-bearing specie)
She also know she's gonna be alright after popping like a bubble, but she is scared a bit. Maybe she's afraid of pain? She didn't know that it's painless ;)

Character responses aside, I REALLY love the coloring and the effects. And by effects I don't mean explosions or whatever o.o I mean the coloring done in the eyes to make it look like she's really truly upset and worried about what it could mean to pop. One of those innocent thoughts when someone says "You look like you're ready to pop!" to a pregnant woman, then they think of all the worst things that could mean.
That said, the water does look a liiiitle flat to me, in terms of coloring. It kind of looks like it goes from 2D colors to 3D lighting effects (on the Vaporeon). I know backgrounds aren't exactly easy, but it's just something that caught my eye. Very well done never the less.

That's just so lovely! The coloration and texture are perfect considering that a vaporeon's genetic structure is supposed to be close to water, which makes me think that she really would be the most likely to pop during labor. Also makes me think that you wouldn't need a sonogram to see the babies. Wonderful job!
Last time I saw a cute little bubble pop, it wasn't "still alive".
I just don't get how if it pops, the vaporean will be back there, same place, no injuries whatsoever with the pups spawning out of no where. :(
