This is a model of a Soviet T72-M1 heavy tank from the Afghanistan campaign of the 1980's. I hope to complete the inantry support within the next few days and then build up an enviroment for it. To date the detail i'm proudest of is the missing skirt plate and bullet damage on the right side of the tracks.

Well, that was a fair number of years ago; it's been ages since I did any model kits. It's perfectly OK for a middle-age woman to buy a model kit because that could be for a son or a nephew, but when I start going "Hm... I wonder if this has the right decals for the C5 escort group" they start looking at me weird
(hid the comment below because I has replyderp)
OMG... I remember a Tamiya kit of a 'Matilda'... all kinds of wee little bits and pieces, it was such fun! Even though I never did paint it. I was sort of torn over AMT kits, because they did all the Star Trek TOS kits, but really... the Enterprise was what, maybe 15 pieces? Bleh...

YEah i did one of their Klingon ships at one point and i was disapointed by how straightforward it was. But yeah the T72 I have here is a Tamiya and the infantry i'm using for it are Dragon. It's great when even the bayonettes they're carying can be identified as a specific style.
