An attempt to shade the image by using GIMP's ability to shape gradients by using the selection tool. For a test, it went well. For an actual piece of artwork, not so much. I'll try and work on the method, but weather or not I'll continue to use it will be based on feedback. I know I could do better, but I didn't know it would work at all. Anyway, there you go.
