Its one of the coolest looking martial arts ever.

Without question. Easily one of my favorites. Though I find at points the fusion of shao-lin monkey form and drunken boxing style leaves gaps.

Its mostly the drops to the back and leg strikes to the nuts. There seems to be no defense in the follow through.

If properly executed, none is necessary. In traditional monkey form, the drop to the back and upward strikes, be it knee, crotch or face, are followed by a backward roll ending in resuming your upright stance.

Add the off balance method of the drunkard style, and the fighter becomes a giant pile of playdoh.

Exalted RPG, like D&D on Crack an Steroids... yeah, anyway.. my character had Mastered Tiger style Kung-Fu, but was also drinking a lot to celebrate victorys.. so she started working on Drunken Monkey... and combined it to create Drunken Tiger Fu!
One of her moves is to lean at 90 degrees without loosing her center of gravity.. mostly because she that under the table..

Sounds sorta like the martial art style builder from Palladium's ninjas and superspies.
