It occurred to me I had not posted this, as I was looking through all my directories of photos today. An RMFC commission for a collar, to look like the one found in the manga image at the top.
This was my first time using the oblong (bag) punch to make holes for weaving leather straps. it was challenging, mostly for the custom sizing needed. And it was also my first time buying very custom hardware to complete an order - the polished box keeper loops and that buckle were bought to match the image as closely as possible.
There is a second box loop and buckle just like the one seen in front, for the functional buckling of the collar in back. The artist of this image did not really think about how the buckle tab right in front would work. While it WOULD be possible to make it work with some strap slack, I thought it better to keep that buckle as strictly decorative.
1.5 inch wide black latigo under 3/4 inch red latigo leather with a buffalo liner. Chains not included :)
Have you got some art you want made real? I love special orders and projects that challenge my notions of construction - so bring it on.

I always forward folk to my shop, that way if there is a price change, it's not shown in a post on a message forum, but live prices are current in the web store.
As for customs, it's generally $50 per hour, plus materials. Less if I wanted to build it anyway, rarely more unless it's something I don't *want* to build. Sometimes I will underestimate the time involved, but as a learning process, I am not fussed by it. A custom that turns into a regular stock item gets priced after I have worked out the details of the build complexity. That was certainly the case with the bracers.
Stock pieces are always less expensive (per hour of labor), because I can work faster on stuff that I have templates and processes to build.
