Decided to update Avy's hair to fit my own, suddenly shorter style. Though I love it in real life, on my fursona, looks a little awkward so I'll probably play with it a little more over time to really figure out how I want to draw it. I'm considering omitting it entirely and just leaving her with a feral-looking yena mane, but we'll see how it goes.
Depending on whether or not I decide to pierce my ears, she may also have that tacked on later.

You know... I'm shocked to say I do like the newer version better. It may look awkward to you since you're used to drawing the other version but this looks a lot less punk-rocker girl-ish. The original had a lot of confidence in it which I’m not sure if it suited you. This seems more on the side of tom-boy instead of party hard female.

Personally, I love the shorter hair better, I know from my own Sona, who has slightly similar hair to Avy's 'before' style, it grew to be a pain in the ass to keep the spiky hair on him, without it flowing all over the place. If that makes sense. Pfft XD

Really? Huh. I never found Avy's spiky hair difficult to draw or anything. It just represents my old hair style, which was long, scruffy and involved these long bangs in my face. Since I got pretty much all of it cut off, this change was done just to reflect a real life change. I like to keep my fursona as accurate as possible.
