
She's either full grown or very close to it. I'm thinking of calling her Onyx but nothings set just yet.

Well the emperor has a venom that's just ever so slightly more potent then a common north american bee. Accually of the 1400 recognized breeds of scorpion only something like 36 have dangerous venom. With the emperor they grab on with those claws of theirs and they can pinch hard enough to draw blood.
But personally I'm anxious to get her under a blacklight for a few pics. that'll be so damn cool.

Yeah, a neon blue. I don't understand how they're liminescent but it's not so uncommon outside the mammal family. Deep sea fish, insects and arachnids have members of their families that are bio-luminescent but usually it's something they do rather then just having it triggered by an outside source. I'm thinking it's connected to a relation to a pre historic breed of scorpion that lived in the ocean.
