Do they dig? The old tarantula we kept used to dig a new hole every few months.

She can dig but she's unlikly to do so. She's more of an opertunistic burrower

That tarantula was weird. 8( She used to pack up all her stuff and drag it to the opposite side of her terrarium. After she drug or rolled everything over to the new site she'd dig down and make a hole, line it with webbing, and just sit there. I watched her once work for hours to move her clam shell when she got it hung on a rock. I don't know what she thought it was, but she loved that shell.

Sounds kinda cool. Mine use to take her uneaten food out like that and they do line their dens to keep then clean but i'm thinking from what you said was she a Cobalt Blue?

All I knew was, she was a big, hairy bug.

most people think these animals are sensles and dumb no emotion but things like that show they are intelligent and have emotional connections to things

Oh no, she was far from senseless or dumb. I mean, why did she love that shell so much? She had to have some kind of appreciation for that object to drag it along with her. There probably wasn't a biological reason, so she just liked it.

I just found her a little creepy. 8P
