This is a short piece inspired by a lesser known character of the Star Fox series: Vixy Reinard, Fox's mom.

it's a simple theme composed for piano, technically a duet, but a skilled soloist could probably pull it off. It's meant to be a fairly upbeat heartwarming piece, reminiscent of better times past. but also delves a bit into the spirited spunk of a strong, compassionate woman, and the sadness of one who's life was tragically cut far too short.

For the musical geeks among us: the main melodic idea follows a 1-5-8-7 5-6-3-2 progression through a major key (F in this case). I first got this theme by fooling around with the SNES StarFox Corneria theme, placing it into a major key instead of the minor key in which it's originally composed, and the melody just kind of grew out of that.
