Wrote this at Block Island a while back. comments and critiques always welcomed. again I know I have only posted poetry thus far, but I am short story writer more than anything.

It's a nice poem. But it reminds me of a bed and sleeping.
"To find a place different than reality" as well as "Like eyes they never look at one place the same" makes me think of dreams.
"A cushion of tan grain", a mattress.
"Smooth rocks scatter, Unique in color", a blanket or quilt.
From "Breath in the distinct salty air..." to "...in sweet harmonic chatter" is what you hear, taste, smell, see and feel in a dream.
And the line "Can you stay?" makes me think of being with a loved one.
