Here is a 'pitter a few days after his 3rd molting. He is over 1-1/4" long and has turned a pretty jade green and he really tears up the leaves now. You can see ones this size just devour a big chunk of leaf like a machine in just a few minutes.
Of course as a result, the 'pitter poo is really piling up fast now and though we have lost a couple more since the first molt, we still have about 60 'pitters munching away.
I have contacted a local butterfly garden to see if they are interested in some of the caterpillars. They called and left a message expressing interest but I haven't caught the guy on his phone yet.
