I was going to do more with my portion of this image, but...
Well, it's scrappy. Garbage in, garbage out, you know, so I just gave up on it in the end. Still, I wanted to show the Mark of Rahkaii, so I uploaded it anyway. Plus, Tora's work on the left very much deserves showing. < ^.^ >
The Mark of Rahkaii is something all Rahkaii have. It may well be their namesake, even, for Rahkaii is Greater Fyrnian for 'red eyes'. The Mark, consisting of bright red irises and perfectly pure white sclera (as opposed to the more normal milky, somewhat bloodshot white most people have) is exhibited briefly after birth, and once the Rahkaii has committed to and passed an early milestone in their training.
After that point it becomes the natural state for their eyes. Most Rahkaii will cover this with a simple Technique, usually to display the eye colour they had before training. While simple, however, this cover requires a portion of their power and concentration ["Tek"]. As such, letting the Mark be shown usually means a Rahkaii is serious and about to fully use their powers for a single task. Most Rahkaii will also freely let the Mark show before going into battle, rather than waiting until they are reaching their limit, lest their enemies realise the limit of their power by the sudden appearance of the Mark.
