This was a commission for SpaceVoyager on deviantART. She wanted her Quilava to be made from minky, so she offered to send me some minky that she had on hand. Although, I haven't used minky in a while so I had to re-teach myself how to sew it.
Either way, though, it looks so great! it is about 9 inches tall (excluding ears and the head-flames) and about 13 inches long from nose to butt. It is made entirely out of minky, except for the flames, which were made out of velour.
Everything was 100% hand sewn (no machine!). The paws are filled with weighted beads, thread sculpted, and have pink paw pads stitched onto every bottom. The eyes were drawn on GIMP, coloured on Photoshop, printed onto iron-on transfers, ironed onto super sturdy bottomweight and then mounted onto the head.
Its so soft that I'm jealous XD
