This is a project I'm working on for a local ESU team (which is the NYPD equivalent of SWAT), being worn by my friend Pantsless Mannequin. The carrier is a mix of MOLLE and ABA attachment systems. As usual, the carrier is made with a 1000D Cordura outer shell and inner lining of light 420D pack cloth. The shoulders adjust under the front panel, kind of hard to see in the picture.
The adjustable cummerbund has plastic inserts to keep them semi-rigid, and the collar and groin protector are removable. This vest was produced as a sample, if there is a small run of these mad,e, they will be in blue rather then black.

Impressive design; I like the combination of newer MOLLE with older ABA Attachments. ABA (American Body Armor) provided the NYPD ESU (New York City Police Department - Emergency Services Unit) with their hard and soft armor back in the 90s and they also provided Special Forces with some of the early modular body armor, specially the US Navy SEALs, who carried some of their vests during vessel board, search and seizure ops (VBSS).
