Jared glared at his opponent, the Wolf across the room giving a wide taunting grin. It was clear the wolf was toying with him, it was clear there was no way of winning, not on the mana pools he was dipping into. Jared reached up toward his neck with a trembling hand and gave the string of his necklace a tug, the thin material snapping with ease. He closed his eyes and uttered a quick prayer to his mother, asking for forgiveness for abusing the gift she gave him, but he knew it might be his only chance. For a moment the small blue stone of his necklace seemed to glow, even float in his palm before the wrapped the string around his wrist and gripped the stone tight. Jared's glare intensified and as he raised his left hand, sparks seemed to roll between his fingers, sparks that would quickly grow till they would leap to the ground and back again. It was then, that the wolf's grin quickly faded and his stance shifted, ready for the battle that would ensue.
