just some lines I was working on.
and further proof, if you needed it, that I can't ink to save my life.

I'll have to try that with the next image; unfortuantely, inking is such a tedious, time consuming process[three, four days spent on just outlining? Dx] that. I guess right now, the thought of going back and going over lines, ESPECIALLY in the hair, is just too daunting of a task. maybe when everything is completely outlined.
idk. it's just adding another day or two[or three] of work onto something I didn't want to spend more than a couple hours on.
/I wish I could art.

I try to stay away from inking as much as possible, it's just. unavoidable in my digital art since the shaking in my hands is a lot more obvious when I use a tablet than when I draw with a pencil.
I was thinking of maybe doing the same thing with the lines as I did with http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4822996/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3110189/ where the lines are still pretty thick and chunky, just painted over to blend in like they were almost never there; http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/.....pwithlines.jpg
IDK.

I like both the outlined and the outlineless version of the one picture!
May I ask which program you're using for inking? Sai and also CS3 and up I think offer stabilizers - they make inking a WHOLE LOT EASIER.
(--- and will un-learn you how to do delicious, smooth lineart in oC FOREVER)

oC's layer settings confused me. xD
and I just don't think I can leave CS2 lovely, open expanse: http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/...../cs2layout.jpg
SORRY FOR SHOWING THAT DRAWING AGAIN. it's just what was open. xD

I only ever ink on a computer[unless I'm bored at work with a black pen and graph paper], and only when I draw the image completely digitally. if it's sketched on paper, then I usually don't bother with wasting time drawing big black lines on everything before I color.
and most artists charge twice as much for inking because a sketch is meant to be loose and and not fully refined, inking is meant to look clean and crisp, like coloring book lines.

If I put a gun to your head, and handed you the lineart to this, and said "ink this or i'll kill you" and then you did this i'd let you live.
So have faith. There's a good chance that if you're ever involved in a random incident of incredibly specific yet convulute hostage negotiation, you'll survive unscathed. :)
