Surprise page. Because f*ck the schedule. Really.
Actually no. . . it's cuz every SECOND of the next few days for me is booked, and I will not be home on Wednsday to post. This doesn't mean there'll be another page on Wed. I shall be in Chicago. Figured I'd get it done now and get it over with.
Also, this is like one of my favorite pages. . . ever. These two characters are THOROUGHLY unimportant, random sailors, but I find them hilarious.
Red Lantern is now on Twitter, and Blogspot:

I don't really know that there's a basis of comparison, since there's such a gap between the rich and the poor in this setting. I suppose the equivalent would be around $10, but you have to remember, in Mataa, the lower classes live off practically nothing, and even the sailors from Amuresca and Carvecia live on a pittance. A crown to the rich is much less meaningful, though
ow ow not the back panel 6 ow ow
(Love how the combination of body language show what's happening beneath the surface--caught off guard by sudden pain in 6, subtly repositioning the husky in panel 7, back to usual sexy self in 8. A slip so quick, a pair of horny sailors would never have caught it.)
Wow, I just love this page guys. I think it has to be not only the amazing art and dialogue, but specifically the fifth panel. I just am hypnotized by what those pants (or period name) do to Amon. They just make him look that much more... appealing. I cannot wait for the printed version. But not just for the... missing material. Just more story. Yay story!
On the one hand, this is hot.
On the other hand, Amon’s status as a sex slave makes it tragic.
On the other other hand, that makes it even hotter.
Gah, I’m a horrible person for liking this. I can’t wait to get the x-rated printed version so I can be an even more horrible person for getting off on it.

Well though they may be THOROUGHLY unimportant and random sailors I’d still be willing to bet if 100 pages from now they were to pop back in many if not most of your readers would all be like, “Heeeeyyy! It’s those two guys!”
For some reason the character type and dynamic of “Those Two Guys” is highly entertaining.
Ollie and Rich, too perfect.

Somehow I'm reminded of a Jonni Future Comic.
The heroine got caught by a slaver and is told, that the female slaves (they had only female slaes on board) would be rented outuntill they drop of exhaustion and then sold on the auction block, because the miners out there were very desperate.
The heroine freed the slaves and the slavers got loked in the harem part of the ship (totally seperate). She asks the former slaves if they will fly back home now. They answered they would go on to visit the miners, because they have a harem-sphere full of ex-slavers and the miners are very, very desperate.
Well, looks like a canine here is also very, very desperate.
Nice one and yes, the two are hilarious.

Ohhh! its getting interesting. So Amon does have more customers despite the previously stated ethic problems the cultures were supposed to have.
Still, I need to say: kind of miss seeing more of the room, it adds more to the atmosphere. Especially since you have such wonderful backgrounds.
This page is too full for my taste, I mean, maybe I'm missing the stilistic symbol translation you had in mind for this scene, along with the "downfall" of the frames (rise suggests suspense in image composition, downfall, well, downfall. This page will work if its the left page and the right page is a rise, thus pulls it up again). I just think its really a pitty that its this tight. Or did Sofawolf limit you to a maximum of pages and you need to fill your space?

I notice these comments are a year old. I also notice you have a very overloaded schedule and are still keeping up the panel postings. I hope you get a break sometime to recover from this exhausting work load.
BTW, thank you for the story. It is both tragic and engaging. And thank you for the art. The detail an shading is beyond gorgeous.
