ARA, my android girl. One of my first drawings of her, where she was still a fox. She's feline now, but I still like the image.
You don't have to read the below, just a storyline-related script.
""AAI stands for Augmented Artificial Intelligence, a method of producing A.I. by means of reducing a living brain downwards in sentience. As such, her existence has violated the 237th decree of Inter-Galactic Electronics Warfare as stated by the Grand Empire. I.H. Kaltag, under funding by the Katrician Empire, built ARA as an AAI for the Leviathan-class flagship of Katric. As it's central computer, ARA can manipulate the ship at will, and is directly responsible for controlling its Delta Gun, a massive microwave-beam that ignites the oxygen in the atmosphere and continues to turn charged ions until the planet is engulfed in flames and all carbon-based life is deprived of air and incinerated. Such Doomsday Devices are prohibited by the 3rd decree of Inter-Galactic Warfare as stated by the Grand Empire. For construction and use of both ARA and the Delta Gun on Point Station East in the Ikaz System, resulting in the deaths of 125 million galactic citizens, The Grand Empire of the Rishan Galaxy hereby declares war on the Katrician Empire and all its affiliates and allies.
Katric is now at war currently with 12,340 star systems, 450 sovereigns, all arms of the Grand Empire, and the Imperial Sovereigns.
May God have mercy on your souls."

it's not the worst one, though, the APC is built almost exactly the same, but instead destabilizes atoms in it's pathway. imagine all of the nuclear weapons currently on earth going off in the same spot.
strap an Alt-Cal to that to encompass an entire planet, and you could take out an entire sector.
well, whatever a sector is.
oh, and the bonus to MA Tech Particle Cannons is that they are so high-energy that only the weapon it's self is capable of defending against an attack, and even that is only deflection.
PCs are more humane than most doomsday weapons, and generally should be used only for sympathetic or galactic threat annihilation.
too much info?

Alright I've drawn it and I've put it on my photobucket... I still have to add the symbol painted on the side of the hull but oevrall it looks alright and what I added blends well with what was the helmet part of that armour, which I also changed. All of this meanwhile drawn freehand. http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b.....nt=ArkBird.jpg May I post it here since part of it technicaly was your artwork originally?
Man, I love this pic. Reading the description though, I don't know about a microwave beam igniting the oxygen in the atmosphere of a plane, since oxygen can only support the ignition of something else, it can't really ignite itself.
You could, however, with a powerful enough beam, heat the planet/atmosphere to a point where nuclei collide and impromptu fusion takes place, essentially turning the planet into an extremely short lived (and hot) nuclear fusion reactor, and leaving you with a cloud of vapourized iron when it's all finished. WHICH WOULD BE REALLY AWESOME.

Hello, Fluff.
Mayhap I may be of service, presenting unto you a weapon that is significantly less power-consuming, but as well significantly more flexible and indeed terrifying than a mere use of such brute-force methods as microwave excitement or particle weapon bombardment.
Alteration of the so-called "priveleged channels" of quantum spacetime in an area. Basically, this method relies on altering the underlying equations that make up the information which defines matter on a quantum level. In effect, you are "telling" matter to be something (or somewhere) else. Don't like protons binding to neutrons, or electron shells holding their orbits? Well, tell them "Hey, y'know, that doesn't REALLY work" and watch them go their separate ways! Or, if you're looking for that new "Bigger boom", tell 20% of them to reverse their spin, resulting in them becoming antimatter!
All in all, the energy required is a LOT less than brute-forcing something to do these things. It's the difference between pushing a car up a hill and firing up its' engines and DRIVING it up a hill.
What it DOES require is a deep understanding of the underlying quantum information theory and physics, and a system to put this into operation.
Personally, I find such weapons FAR more chilling than a maser the size of a star station. ^_^
Do enjoy, dear!
