I took this picture at the end of a bit of an ordeal.
I got to visit my good friend
near Houston, Texas back in August for 10 days. I had been in Florida with my father, his girlfriend and my step-brother for the 10 days before that and took the opportunity to visit Skiver instead of going straight back home. My father had no problem as long as I took care of and payed for my flight back to Montreal.
I had booked the flight well over a month in advanced; I recieved the invoice, flight itineary, everything confirming I had the ticket booked and everything was good.
I had an absolute blast with Skiver and really look forward to the next time, but returning home was rather chaotic.
Skiver dropped me off at Terminal A where Air-Canada is where I was told that I had to go to Terminal D because though my flight was Air-Canada; it was being handled by Continental. Alright, that was my fault for not reading the part on the ticket that stated that beforehand.
I go to the tram which had just stopped working and see this sign... Yes, I had to jog 1.5km to get stuck in a long line. 50 mins before my flight was scheduled to depart I get to the Continental Airlines booths and punch in my code to recieve my physical ticket. "INVALID CODE." So I try again. "INVALID CODE" spouts the machine again. I ask for help by one of the few employees there and after a quick search I'm told that one of the codes on my flight itineary is for my flight -a code which you can only get if you have booked said flight- my name was nowhere on the passenger manifest.
I had to call up Air Canada seeing as it was technically their flight and got connected to someone compitent after about 25 mins to be told that their computer system can't comprehend hyphenated names and therefore made my last name "Ss" then later removed me from the passenger manifest without notifying me, I am then interrupted by a Continental employee to be told that the flight I booked was now fully booked and I could no longer possibly get on it.
So after another 45 or so minutes I managed to get Air-Canada to get me a different flight to Montreal. Got home in the end but was still quite a panic to get everything worked out.
TL;DR
Had awesome vacation, getting back home was a bitch.

Ouch. Glad they at least had the decency to book you on another flight. You'd think that sort of software bug would have been found and fixed mighty fast.
Glad to not hear that your luggage is as bad as mine was for my last flight. I borrowed a couple suitcases from my folks; one needed to be on a leash (it had wheels, but no handle), the other had wheels but you carried half the weight. My arms were about ready to fall off by the time I got home. Unless my folks want them back, they can go with the trash and I'll get some good luggage for next time...

There was very little trouble with my luggage since I travel very light, but I had to wait 2 days to get all my luggage when I got to Houston.
long story short: transfer in atlanta; flight to atlanta was fully booked so they checked my luggage for free to get more space in the cabin; horde of Unintelligent Fat Black Women caused said flight to be delayed and make me 10 mins late for my connecting flight and thereore they were unable to transfer my luggage.
