One of the other suggestions that was left on my journal, specifically for a Couatl. I wanted to fiddle more with clothes ripping as well, and thought it would be cool to try to have the guy rip his own shirt off as the wings were ripping the back open... but I think this pic needs a bit of digital cleanup first, and maybe a little more lines in some parts. ^^;
