And now presenting my biggest commission yet, a mini comic series staring Dee the rat, from 
datapacrat X3
Dee is an engineering rat that 4 mechanical limbs instead of flesh and blood arms and legs. In this commission it was requested to create a comic in which one of her arms malfunctions and she goes to the store to try on new arms with comedic results.
As a little bonus, Crystal guest stars as the cashier and head techy at TECH "R" US X3

I hate god modding SO much! X3 When I do things like this, I try to make abilities powerful yet not gamebreaking, or if they are by nature, I add some drawbacks to add balance. For example, my furson's arm affords him greater-than-normal strength, but it also has built-in limiters to protect him from self-harm. He -can- boost the arm's power output by overriding the limiters, but he risks severely injuring himself by having the arm tear off of his body on its own.
I see your point, and also apologize as I didn't quite elaborate well ^^' Without the limiters, the arm would ALWAYS threaten to come off, they're there to stop that from happening in the first place. Even with them bumped up just a notch, the limb would strain his body too much and cause muscles and ligaments to start tearing and bones to start breaking, eventually leading to a brutal self-detachment. On top of that, if such a thing happens, he could die within minutes from the sheer amount of blood loss he would suffer afterwards if the resulting wound couldn't be closed up
Actually, his arm's pretty state-of-the-art; a delta-grade custom build, courtesy of his older brother. It's much stronger than a similar civilian model, and it's modular as well, allowing for a wide variety of potential upgrades and add-ons. ^^
As far as fake fur goes, he prefers not to have it - in his particular profession, having an arm that's obviously mechanical adds to his intimidation factor, which proves quite useful in some scenarios. More than a few enemies have run away screaming at the sight of it alone! X3

You know, I can just imagine this being Crystal's actual job (working at a place that dealt in machines straight out of science fiction), and she's keeping it a secret from everyone she knows. It would at least partially explain why Vivy's roboticized neck didn't seem to faze her in the slightest, and her knowledge of how to build and maintain cool devices.
I can just imagine it:
Vivy: "Crystal, how do you know so much about machines?"
Crystal: "Because I am a super genius alien/from the future."
Vivy: "What?! Seriously?!"
Crystal: "Yes. But it's a secret, so I'm going to have to erase your memory now." *shoots Vivy with a tranquilizer then presses one of the buttons on her neck and walks off with her unconscious head.*
Hilarity ensues.

It makes absolutely perfect sense. I dare you to make it part of her back-story somehow. Her friends wouldn't even have to know about it. It could just be our little secret. Yes ma'am, just you, me, and the entire internet. And the floorboards too, I suppose. It's impossible to hide anything from those sneaky guys.
*Is surprised by the hug, but laughs and hugs back* I suppose so! Hahaha! Alrighty, I'll take good care of this arm for ya, it shouldn't take more than a day or two to fix the problem. While we're on the topic, are there any upgrades or features you'd like? Almost anything you could want, I can have added on free of charge! Just nothing illegal, hehe XP
