I wonder why people regard them as being dangerous after all we all learn to treat other beings with respect and it is only natural if no matter what dog don't get that-it will become angry. It is so sad how often I have to convince people that my Pancho is REALLY friendly and not waiting to eat all children in town :( He wouldn't hurt anybody on purpose.

this just proves rottweilers are great dogs if you raise them right. its an unfair reputation they have earned

They are very loyal and caring dogs IF you treat them right :) many people think they are guard dogs and need to be handled with force and violence to control them. But it is not true they want much love and hugs, if they get that they are fantastic dogs^^ It is sad that they have bad reputation now also pitbulls. People have to learn that a being with a soul reflects how you treat it, I still hope they will one day for all misunderstood dog's sake.

pitbulls have an even worse reputation. I have a friend who has the sweetest pitbull. she loves everyone but of course when you take her for a walk people give her a wide birth when they see get excited. Its the same with German shephards. I love dogs and it pisses me off when a good dog is ruined by a bad person and it pisses me off even more when people generalize a species.

in germany, more people get attacked and bitten by GSD and dachshunds than by pitbulls, rottweilers, dobermanns and other dogs together.
it kind of reflects our society and the medias, too.

thing is, here in germany, due to media coverage especially by yellow press, everybody is afraid of pitbull &co. but those you see are usually tested for agressiveness by authorities so you can be pretty sure they won't attack you out of the blue, if ever. so, everybody walks up to a random GSD or dachshund ignoring any sings of "do not want", and thus, gets bitten.

Such awesome dogs- I love their "grumble". She snores quite loudly though. -.-U

That is a unusual, beautiful name *__* They are one of my favorite breeds, awesome loyal and cute dogs^^ yeeeeees, mine grumbles so much too, outstanding persons must think he is growling but he isn't :'D yeah, panchi too snores and as he sleeps in my bed it is double bad xD but I couldn't imagine him being any different :)

awh you would I am sure, rotties love using their tongues for everything xD I am glad though that mine doesn't try to eat my hair that'd be a big mess xD but he likes to sleep with my hand in his mouth or just carry it >:D

he ate part of the wall at work... twice. lol
