"No." Claire said stubbornly, crossing her arms, and glaring at the...contraption, Chaos was currently seated it. The puppy gave her his biggest, saddest puppy eyes and glanced down at the device with a tremble of his lower lip.

"Awww come on! I worked all morning on this...I promise it's safe!" Chaos whimpered. Claire glared.

"...Safe-ish." Chaos amended. Claire still stared.

"...Sorta. Look, I fixed most of the bugs! It hasn't blown up in three whole hours! That's a good sign!" Chaos whimpered. Claire rolled her eyes.

"And ze new record. "The she skunk pointed out. Chaos shook his head, drawing his fingertips across the bright red handle of the engine and give it a gentle tug.

"I swear on my goggles and integrity as a coyote, that I will not let this vehicle explode while your inside of it!" Chaos announced, crossing a paw over his heart. Claire smiled gently and leaned across the bright, gleaming chrome of the material and nuzzled her nose delicately with Chaos'.

"I accept ze promise...'owever I sink zis qualifies as ze deathtrap, not ze vehicle. "She whispered quietly, and frowned when the boy puppy cast her a downtrodden look.

"You know, I 'ave ze idea mon petite coyote...'ow about we ead to ze ice cream shop, and you can show me ze schematics of zis...sing, over ze 'ot fudge sundae. Juuuuust in case sare was somesing you missed, oui?" She smiled. Despite of himself, he grinned a warm grin and nodded his head, arcing his elbow out. She entwined it an they wandered off together down the street towards the Lickity Splits Icecream shop.

The car exploded 45 seconds later.
