Hmmm, Haku is good.. but the big flaw here is.. he is fighting a person who controls Water..even when its ice.. heck, Katara has cut steal bars with a blade of water.. an Haku would have no where to jump into.. without risking his landing place attacking him.

The difference is Haku can summon it out of the air and throw it without having to actually touch it. Katara needs a body of water, and the use of her hands near it.

No she doesn't... I've seen her call water from yards away.. and she can use the water Haku calls up.. Congrats, he has just armed his oppenent. :)

Well, I don't know how well she can control demonic ice mirrors as they don't move at all, can't be bent or shaped and are made more with chakra to make them nigh unbreakable.

I don't think water bending can change that.

And at the speed he shoots the ice, she wouldn't have time to move her hands to bend it.

Ok, I don't know about Demonic Ice mirrors made of chakra... which is really freakin odd.. as the melted water stayed behind after the battle in both the Manga and Anime.. the Anime which I've seen a few Saturdays and Thursdays on Cartoon Network.
His Chakra called water from the air, thats tons of power...
Now about speed.. granted, his ice darts move with mad speed.. so does Azula's lightning fire dealy.. and Katara blocked that, Light moves faster than mass, and if said darts stayed together Sasuke after the fight, they had mass. In fact, since those didn't melt.. I figure they are metal as well.
I mean, calling up Ice Mirrors, Using Mad speed to get from Mirror A to B in the blinking of an eye, and throw an ever full hand of needle/darts? Haku has to cut back some where on Chakra use... Its an even fight, unless Haku just plays smart and doesn't call up water.. why do you want him to waiste energy like that when it arms his enemy?... Ninja are supposed to be smart. :)

They're not made WITH Chakra, they're made BY it and re-enforced with it. The ice is supernaturally strong, not to mention the fact that Haku can be inside of them, so it has to be because of Chakra.

As for dodging, she can dodge one or two, sure, but I'm saying she can't do enough hand motions to control them ALL. He does create an entire hailstorm of them.

He's quick and accurate enough to be able to fire enough of them to both damage and probably paralyze her with pressure points since she couldn't stop them all. Being armed doesn't matter if you can't move due to paralysis.

1: How come he didn't paralyze Sasuke and Naruto? thats the easyest way to kill/imobilize them.
2: Since she can control mass hail storm attacks from other water benders, how can she not control a hail of darts made of ice?

I am not trying to annoy or make you angry, but you are making this far too complicated. If you have to fight someone who depends on a certain weapon as Katara does, Water.. she shows no sign of being able to fight any other way. Then just punch her out!
Haku is a trained fighter, as a professional killer, he has to out think his enemy.. adding water to the fight is a dumb risk.. if I was to fight her.. and I had Haku's powers, I wouldn't use them.. I'd use crap loads of fire.. and lots and lots of steal darts..

Sasuke and Naruto are much faster then Katarra would ever be. At least on foot.

And I think the darts being enfused with Chakra and controlled by that would interfere with water bending.

Also, Haku used so many needles it would have been hard to hit pressure points without also probably killing them, and Haku didn't want to kill the two and was holding back a lot.

If he wanted to kill Katara, he probably could.

Haku can win the fight with super ease.. all he has to do is 'Not' use his Ninja magic.. Katara.. as long as there is no water around, even Haku's.. has no defense against the metal knives and darts he can throw at her, Proven by her fight with the acrobat Ty Lee, just uses the pressure points on the body, or her friend Mai with her knives and darts... Katara has been beaten by both more than once..

One word, bloodbending. And also, if Haku can create ice from the moisture in the air katara could to, not to mention that haku usualy battles alongside Zabusa, who summons mist, increasing the the local moisture levels further.

I think it would be a tie. They'd kick each other's asses.

An awesome thought. I agree that Katara would get her rear handed to her. Haku has too much experience on his side, but Katara would definately give him a run for his money.

After having a pointless debate 9 months ago.. mostly because I didn't know much about Haku, whom I think is very cool...I can now debate why Haku would not win.

I give the first move to Haku.
Haku summons his "Demonic Ice Mirrors", Water/Wind affective Chakra, Ice Mirrors boosted by Chakra. He now has Katara trapped in a big dome of Ice Mirrors.

Katara stares at this big collection of Ice, Takes control of all of it and brings it crushing down upon what ever is 'Not' Ice/Water.. namely, Haku.

Haku throws a volley of Ice darts.
Katara sheaths her body in Ice armor, and returns the Darts.. and beats Haku some more.

The big problem with this whole fight.. Haku can't win unless he doesn't use his Water based attacks.

Lets try again.

Haku, a fairly well trained Ninja, stealths up to Katara and stabs her in important parts with a Kuni {sp?} and she dies.

Its rather sad and pathetic that I came back 9 months later just to post that.. But its such a cool pic.

I believe they'd probably end up picking herbs to heal the other members who got in their own scuffles *maybe Sokka and Naruto? Haku has years of training, Katara has Natural talent and some training.

My Problem with the above debate? Dameon wanted it to be a big "Powers" blow out. I would like to think that Haku has the common sense to know when/how to use his powers. You can't be a good assasin if you have no common sense.
