The B24 Liberator in all it's glory from the wing of the B17! Well it's actually down a wheel... they're working on it though... and apparently some lucky sobs got airport passes to get up close... we wheren't allowed to go near it.
I had to use a CRAPPY camera for all this, so in order to get the lighting right I had to hide under the wing of the B17. Made a nice pic in the end ^.^

BUT! I did get to fly in the p...18t? I think... ww2 trainer.. i got picture of that baby too in my gallery ^.^ open cockpit was great!
Did you get to go inside the b24? :0( the b17 was great, but i wanted to go inside the b24 aswell >.< we wheren't even allowed NEAR it.
We where lucky when we got in the b17 though, me and my friend had it for ourselves for a while because some old guy was having trouble getting in or something... we actually had to turn around a tour the plane twice because we had rushed ourselves too much.
and if you count the bombs, it had MANY missions to get hit.
The b17 was simliar in that no crew member where ever hit.. but the plane was shot up a LOT, including being hit by a "dead german pilot".... which might really be the mighty german airplane ramming flight. The realy plane it's replicating was actually nuclear bomb tested (The nuke won) So in reality it's just a bunch of peices.
The b24 stayed mostly together since it was send to india and they didn't test any nukes on it XD
This is a LONG comment....
