Na’ava Moon
“When Na'ava was born she was thought to be dead because her heartbeat was silent. Lifeless, the newborn kitten was left in an alleyway still covered in her mother's afterbirth. It was dark and heavy rain began to pour down upon the kitten, slowly breaking away the fluids on her. It was then she was noticed by a young pregnant feline passing through the alleyway. Unable to tell if the kitten was dead, the soon to be mom took the feeble newborn home.
Dried off and placed in plenty of warm blankets by the window, the kitten still laid there motionless. The rain had died down to trickles as the dark clouds began to disperse revealing a beautiful full moon. Two older kittens came into the room to observe their mother as they began pointing at the bundle near the window. The weary mother shook her head and held herself as she looked at her belly hoping that her kitten would not suffer the same fate. Just then a very faint mewl could be heard from the bundle. Anxiously the mother removed one of the blankets from the kitten's face, revealing bright, almost luminescent, green eyes.”
