Urgh, this would've been so much better if I'd done it digitally, but it was for a grade in my art III class, and we're not allowed to do anything digitally (even though it's supposed to be art III graphic design ASDFLOLWTF).
The sketchbook assignment was supposed to be a tattoo design, preferably with color and attention paid to hue and value. I love tribal tattoo designs, but I never really attempted to make one before, so I decided to use this assignment as an opportunity to try it.
I LOVE the result. If I tattoos weren't painful, unhealthy, ugly after aging, and possibly able to transmit STDs, I would probably get this as a tattoo on the back of my right shoulder.
