So here comes another one...

His name is Starmane, captain Starmane though almost nopony uses his real name, calling him Greymane instead. That is because Starmane used to be a hero and nopony believes that this old Royal Guard may be the exact same pony.
But first things first. Starmane is a retired Royal Guard who has his best days far behind him. He used to be the famous captain, a virtuous commander defending border villages from various monsters. Some ponies say that he was able to defeat a swamp hydra all by himself, jumping around it with such an incredible agility that the beast tangled it's heads.

However, all of this is but a past. Starmane is no longer glorious wandering knight but an old and gritty veteran who never truly accepted his retirement.
The retirement was quite shocking, and he realized that he is no longer young, strong and agile enough. He never truly left his life's mission to protect the innocent. He works as chief of security of local railway station, training ponies in ways of self defense, because trains transporting gemstones from local mines are often a target of gem-eating wyverns or local diamond dog bands.

Starmane is still quite strong though nowhere near as fast and able as he used to be. He blames himself every time somopony around him gets hurt, no matter the reason, unable to accept the fact that if he was younger, he could have prevented most of the accidents.
Starmane wears old, modified pegaus guard armor keeping his old raiment safe and out of sight.
His coat is greyish dark blue, mane is grey and so are his eyes. He never shows his cutie mark just as all the guards on duty.
