Its the initial shock of being discovered! Like when you see something frightening and it sends chills up your spine a second before you take off running? Well with so may legs that feeling is only magnified and they forget which legs are which causing complete GRIPFAIL! LOL
Haha this picture single handedly cured my fiance of her hatred and phobia of these bugs. For years she would scream bloody murder whenever she saw one of these and she always called them "Silverfish" and me being a wannabe Intemologist was all like "Silverfish? that's not a silverfish?". Needless to say I had a day of research at our public library just to track this little fellow down to Phylum, Genus, Species... Scutigerid!!! And I learned so much about them I started drawing all sorts of goofy doodles of them with big googley eyes. It broke her fear of them and I got a good metal gear joke out of it XD
