I learned about Redwall by seeing an animated version a few years ago, in this order, I think: Matthias, Mattimeo, Martin the Warrior. While I don't appreciate Jaques' absolute refusal to write villains with a motivation beyond "they're evil", I express my sympathies for learning of his death from a previous comment on this picture.
As an aside, I wonder if you would do character sketches (by commission, of course), if I run a World Tree game at a future furry or gaming convention?
