Yesterday marked the tenth anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved, and the Xbox franchise.
In appreciation, and because im a big fan of Halo, ive drawn this (crappy) female spartan, doing something unrealistic in a real Halo game.

Heh, when I first played Halo, my video card didn't render transparency correctly, turning the entire figure a solid flat color of whatever was behind it whenever they got the invisibility powerup. I had no idea it wasn't supposed to be like that, so I didn't understand why people were claiming I was cheating to be able to see them. ^_^;;
Ah, memories... That, and playing 400% shields/health on Blood Gulch with a friend, who would grab a Banshee and come after me, and I'd take him out with stickies and a rocket launcher, but then the unmanned Banshee would land on me since I no longer had time to get out of the way. ^_^;;

I picked up the Anniversary Edition today. My favorite thing they did, aside from the massive graphics update, is the "Nostalgia Filter".
Seriously. Press the Back button (the left-facing arrow button) on your controller and you can switch between the updated graphics and the original graphics on the fly. It's so much fun to play with.

i love halo even though i dont play it that often. i downright suck at it!its the only FPS im NOT good at lol, and i got tired of being pwned in multiplayer constantly. there was only one good memory i have from Halo: Reach multiplayer, a game where i got ten kills from running around like a douche and meleeing ppl with the pistol...
i do better in Battlefield multiplayer. Halo... not so much

and on the contrary, in the closing parts of 'Lone Wolf' in Reach the players character actually dual wields a pistol and the MA5B/MA5C assault rifle, granted its in a cinematic I still assume it still happened.
