So, I decided to doodle something up rather quickly just to play with colours a bit. That thing was this- it didn't come out very well and I didn't pay much attention to anatomy, but I was really only interested in the colours so I didn't care.
But then the colours also pretty much fell apart, so I stopped caring about half way through. xD I could do a lot more to make it look better, but it's kinda flawed at it's core so I don't really feel like putting that kind of energy into it.
I'm not saying it's awful or anything, just not what I was aiming for, so putting a lot of work here would be a waste at this point.
I do always like a pretty birdy girl though, even when it's completely clean and innocent for once. :P I sense this one may be a bit of a tomboy. Not sure why, just get that feeling.
On to the next piece, I guess!

Really though to be perfectly honest, I don't put much thought in emotions at all. I just let the face do whatever it wanted and that happened to be this. There's really no meaning to it at all. I think sometimes I'm given a bit more credit than I deserve. :P

The pose/posture is the tomboy thing. If you had the legs closed and arms outside the thighs it'd be more feminine (females tend to posture to protect their groin while males tend to posture for better stability).
Good stuff man. I think for not hitting the mark you set out, you came up with both good anatomy and interesting colors.
