Nice story. Does seem a little harsh to lead them to believe they're going to die... I'm glad things turned out well in the end. ^_^

was going for a bit of the emotional feel in this one, more of a character thing then just yiff (i know, non yiff never seems to get as much attention, but sometimes i just like to tell stories, and this was something i thought was an interesting story.)

As for leading them to believe the worst... well theres a true test of sacrifice and loyalty there... you can bet no gryphon rider that passed the test ever betrays their companion...

Besides, as is implyed i think, sometimes the darkest things bring us closest together when it really counts, forming a bond that wouldnt exist otherwise...

then again, just my opinion, but yeah despite the happy end, it does get a bit grim looking at parts...

Well, I'd think a pair that gets through by one forcing the other to drink probably wouldn't last long in the field... Though, I do wonder if someone a little less scrupulous ever gets a hold of the formula for the potion, and has some fun with it... *giggles and grins*

hey, they could both just walk away and live normal lives if they chose, not the kind of drink you could just pour down someones throat easily i would think. The real key is one of them has to be willing to make the sacrifice, for duty and for the other... which is why i still kind of like the story myself... even if it is a bit sad around that part.
