"Midnight" the Shadow Lugia!

Soooo yeah. It's been over a year since I've made this thing- I just haven't gotten around to take good photographs or arrange some formal presentation, but it deserves a place in my gallery nonetheless. Proof that I built the darn thing in my gallery at last! (though most of you know me rather well in the role of Shadow Lugia over the years anyways)
This costume was constructed from scratch starting March 2010 and finished June 5th 2010 in the hotel room at A-kon. It's made of a stretch minky fabric and upholstery foam.
Shout out to GirTiger (aka WizardGir) for saving my butt at A-kon by providing me with use of his sewing machine and help- it certainly wouldn't have made it's debut onstage without you. Also to Sanyai for handsewing Lugia's feet in the hotel room and rektheartist for contributing last minute help as well. Both of you are also wonderful handlers that I couldn't enjoy my cons without!

Also looking through your pictures I see you got a photo of our Eevee group too in partials (though I was off somewhere else, lol.)

Nope, I have never been to SakuraCon. However I bet that one of these Lugias have though; there's about 20 of them now that have been based off my original design all over the world: http://caninehybrid.wikia.com/wiki/.....tume_Directory
Oh man i would LOVE to make a cosplay as good as this! any cosplay i made in the past were either poorly made due to lack of materials or because im such a beginner at this. I finally have a sewing machine that works so i may start to do better soon~ but this cosplay has definately inspired me :) i was recently thinking about doing maybe a Zoroark cosplay!
