Brief Description:
Lighris Skilerain, first-born son of Torden and Degra Skilerain and the older brother of Volcan. Lighris is a trusted mechanic in his and Volcans' hometown, and his speciality is older vehicles, especially Camaro's. However, he despises working on vans since he feels he often has to take the whole engine apart just to get at whatever parts need replacing. Despite that, people trust his mechanical ability.
Lighris was born three and a half years before Volcan, but due to incompatible elemental parents, the two didn't become Hybrid phoenixes, as there's no result when Lightning mixes with Fire. As a result, Lighris was born almost the spitting image of Torden, and his grandfather of the same name, although Lighris takes more after his grandfather in terms of physical traits, especially height. Volcan was born resembling Degra; he grew to be the larger of the two brothers and shared his mothers' color patterns, eyes, and loyal nature towards others, traits Lighris never got.
Even when they were young Lighris wasn't the easiest to get along with; he was always reckless and liked making Volcan feel inferior to him. But when they grew up and Volcan became larger, stronger and a famous musician to boot, the relationship between the two went downhill for a couple of years; Lighris was envious of Volcan for his size, strength and fame, and still always tried to surpass him.
One of Lighris' many faults is that his lightning powers are much stronger than most his age, and he can't fully control them, but he denies such a thing and pays it little mind when he uses excessive force in a fight, despite that he's hospitalized more than a few people who've fought him. He's a short person but he's not to be underestimated.
Lighris and Volcan both matured and now they get along better, but there's still some roughness between the two of them, especially when concerning the splitting up of their parents years before; Lighris fully sided with their father despite him having been in the wrong, and Volcan sided with Degra, preferring to take the side that needed him over the side that simply wanted him.
This has long blown over, and Lighris still sees his brother every now and then and they get along fairly well. But Volcan still doesn't appreciate Lighris' habit of spending more money than he can afford, as well as his serious smoking habit. But Lighris doesn't listen, his nature of thinking 'I always know best' making him ignore what others tell him. Now he continues working at his own personal shop in his hometown, fixing cars and smoking cigars; it's his way of life.
Although it's apparent he doesn't take much pride in his appearance, Lighris is very social and many women adore him as well, referring to him as 'Lightning under the Bed Sheets' (no pun intended) and even he can be fairly charming. That said, he's not the committing type so he outright refuses to enter a steady relationship, preferring not to get tied down to any one woman.
Volcan hopes one day Lighris will mature further and realize how much in error his older brother is.

what exactly is a Lightning Hawk? is it like the Impundulu or Thekwane of south Africa? (translated it means lightning bird), and you say a pure blood phoenix, now is that phoenix Arabian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese(Fenghuang), Indian and Phoenicians or he Russian Firebird?
Didn't know there were so many versions...

Lightning Hawk is just another name for 'Thunder Phoenix'; I prefer Lightning Hawk because IMO Thunder is a sound, not an element like Lightning. Oh yes the phoenix is a international creature, just like the dragon or Fairy(fae, fair folk, faerie, fay etc etc) and sprites, elves and other beings like that as well the concept of ghosts, spirits as well demons. In almost every mythology, folklore, legend and religion you are likely to find one of the previous creatures listed in some form or another. It has to do with the psychological idea of collective consciousness, the idea that different groups can have similar ideas or opinions but may have never had any contact. it is one of the hows to explain why the idea of there being dragons in medieval Europe as well as feudal japan and anicent mesoamerica or other places.
This actually isn't my character, it's my friends, but to answer your question, over 30 characters :V Half were already existing, the rest were either recently created, or have been around for awhile but I haven't done anything with yet. all in all, I'm planning to use them all.
