Jack huffed as Aldrich ran past him with a big inner tube turtle around his waste, an ice cream in his hand and sunscreen on his muzzle. “C’mon Jack! We gotta get in the pool before those other people do!” Aldrich said as Jack laughed shaking his head as Aldrich dipped his toe in the pool, the two of them beating the other people to the morning opening of the community pool, “Just right!” he said as he jumped in, floating back up with his fur soaked as he licked at his ice cream, “C’mon Jackie! Its nice and warm~!”
“Okay Al,’ Jack said laughing as he placed his hands on the stair rail and started to lower himself in, feeling a familiar uncomfortable pinch at his waist, “Hmmm?” Jack said aloud as he looked down frowning, a chubby belly staring him back in his face, his new swim trunks already too small! ‘Wow Jack, time to cut back again.’ He thought to himself as he smiled and quickly hopped in the pool.
