Character purchased from
saizuki-san
I know, I know. Don't you have enough characters already?
I bought this lady to help Ms.
saizuki-san out a bit with her debts and, yes, because I wanted her, too. She's a squirrel/red panda hybrid, and she joins the ranks of all those characters I really need to start developing and using. Now that I have a bit more free time, maybe I can start doing just that.
Points to you if you recognize her name.

Go check her out, and commission her! You won't be sorry.

I didn't really expect anyone to get it. The Mikado is a comic opera from Gilbert and Sullivan, and one of their most famous. I won't go into painful detail, as you can read about it on Wikipedia if you want to. But Katisha is more or less the antagonist of the story, an older woman who wants to marry the hero (the Mikado's son, and thus a prince) even though he has fallen for someone else. My character really has nothing to do with any of that, except that I liked the name and it's suitably faux Japanese for a red panda character* without being offensive. I didn't want to call her something like Ming Lee, as that seemed a bit too stereotypical somehow.
*I know red pandas are from China, but I liked the name too much to pick another.
Anyway, I quite like her, and you're right, I'm sure she'll fit right in here.

Aha, actually I did get the name reference! Admittedly only because I'd been pootling around some G&S stuff on YouTube this weekend; I only have a slight knowledge of the stuff overall. As for having so many characters, the best thing about that is that they'll always have someone to talk to. =:)
Well, I don't actually know that much about them or their work, either. I'm a big fan of The Mikado and Pirates of Penzance, but that's about as much as I'm really familiar with. *Grins* And you're right. No matter what, at least I have my characters to keep me company. Though I think I'd be a bit worried if they started talking back to me. I can only imagine what some of them might have to say about me!
