And thought since this had to do a big part of motherhood I would submit it over here as well.
I know a lot of people have great debates on the issues of breast feeding. It's such a natural thing that now is being shunned by the public eye and it's so sad that it is. *This of course is my opinion on this topic*

indeed breast feeding is natural and this pic is really sweet, humans were breast fed for thousands of years before formula was developed, and still in tribal communities it remains the only food source for babies, society makes so many natural things seem taboo these days, a mother feeding her child isn't a sexual act, just because breasts have become synonymous with sex doesn't make breast feeding wrong, i know i've written i bit of a rant but i fully support breast feeding, it's beautiful and natural and nothing builds a stronger bond with a newborn child
Wonderfully said! I feel the same way and especially in America the taboo has gotten out of control where people have even started banning it in stores!
Just never did understand something so natural even as to sneezing could be banned.
Again well said and ty for the comment! <3

my pleasure, while technically not a mother myself i am a parent, and being transgender i guess i could be classed as a mother, i recently found out depending on a whole heap of circumstances that male to female transgenders can actually lactate, and the thought of being a mother and breast feeding gives me a sense of warmth inside to be able to express love and care for a life that i created in such a way
I may not be a mother, but the fact that breastfeeding a baby being shunned ticks me off. It strengthens a bond between a mother and a child, and is natural. For the people who are against this, think about this, would you rather listen to a baby cry and scream its head off when its hungry, or let the mother feed it.
I believe that formula should only be used if the baby has a medical condition, or the mother can't produce milk. Prime example: One of my younger brothers had problems with his liver when he was born. My mom and the doctors did not know whether or not breastfeeding him would be a good thing for him or not, but they told her to breast feed him anyway. After a few months, my parents got a call from the doctor and was told to switch to the formula. My brother now has autism, but is doing well. I apologize if I am going into a rant, but this really does make me mad.
This also brings to mind the fact that parents that punish their kids with spankings is child abuse. If parents didn't punish their kids, there would be more kids on the streets, in gangs, doing drugs and all that shit. My parents believed in spankings and crap like that, and we all stayed out of the streets and away from drugs.
Two words can describe these two beliefs: Bull Shit
Again, I apologize about ranting. It just infuriates me on how thick skull-ed, and boneheaded people are about these things.
