That's because Zelda games have been nothing but more of the same lately :< They're hardly immersive these days.

People are used to "the Zelda formula" and thus Zelda games are a tricky balance, change things too much then people complain it is not a Zelda game anymore (I hear this for Majora's Mask) keep things too similar and people say it is boring.

Nintendo has to change things up just enough to feel fresh but not enough to turn people away.

Aye, I agree. I'm glad to see Skyward Sword has received so many positive reviews though! For me it remains 'well maybe after it's down to only 20 euro' material. Twilight Princess really was a let down, same for all the latest handheld Zelda games.

I generally hate saying 'oh but back in the old days it was better', but to me, the magic really stopped after the oracle of seasons/time and OOT games :/

nothing feels like OoT anymore, but when I first played that game was a young teen, not 25, and I know I have aged out of that era of splendor, and that any splendor the game seems to hold over others comes with a nostalgia coating giving it an extra boost

I actually didn't play OOT at the time, I couldn't afford to buy any games XD

I dunno, I still love a lot of older titles, even if I discover them later. For me, the games themselves are just poorly designed. Just don't get me started on recent Zelda handheld titles and the flaws ...

But I agree though, titles like the original Breath of Fire RPGs most likely won't feel as epic as they did back then, other than pure nostalgia <3

I played Phantom Hourglass....Temple of the Ocean king...ARG!
Spirit Tracks (got close to done) too much friggen train, and while they reused the "go to temple, renturn to center, go to temple, repeat" formula of PH they atleast did not make us repeat from room 1 all over again!

PH is worth it to know who Linebeck is, ST to me is more fun than PH because of the characters (I find Cole funny, I love Alfonso, and Zelda kicks ass) and I like how it takes place after WW/PH and you get these hints of history (Like how the soilders dress like Link)

uh, anyway, I would say that one should not judge them too highly, they are more like filler games, they were not given the effort the likes of OoT, TP and SS saw....so in that respect I love them for what they are worth.

hey Epona got 3 games, that is more than a lot of characters got ....Navi got 1, Midna got 1, Linebeck, King of Red Lions, Tatle, all had 1 game they were in...the only other reappearing character thingy (aside from Link, Zelda and Ganon) that got more than one run was, ugh, Tingle >_O

I know but I just love Epona... and Twilight I think will always be the best Zelda game ever. Well next to Ocarina of time.

I was told they could not do that because the game was built around the motion+ and they would litterally have the reprogram it to make a left handed option because all the puzzles, items and fights center around that hand of his...

I traded a gently used full fursuit for a wii (I could not sell the blasted thing anyway, even at a starting bit of fecking $400) JUST for this game, only for this game, hell yeah this game.

War games are taking over one of the most inventive, immersible genres of games this generation, and it is indeed quite upsetting.
Even so many fantasy styled games these days revolve around war and killing, throwing away story-line for a good cheap killing spree. If that's not a sign of media control then I don't know what is. No wonder so many indie-games are starting to overthrow the business with their... y'know... 'good' ideas? Need more of those, them good ideas.

God my gamestop sucks too. I went on this epic quest for the game and they told me that they only order 20 coppies of the box set and there wasn't anymore. so I had to drive my happy ass to flordia to get the game :<. DEDICATION! I WAS GOING TO GET THAT GAME TODAY LOL.
My ears nearly exploded from the awesome music in this game. I haven't listened to the cd yet ,but I think I might tonight >3<!!

Everything except dressing up litterally happen to me. The hubby and I went to pick it up and ofcourse COD3 everywhere... not a thing for Zelda, but i got my gold controller and We popped in the cd on the way home and listened to it like lil school girls and a boy band. hahaha
